Sadie and Hazel!

I don't know what I would do without my two loving companions. They make me laugh and keep me from feeling alone. I love to watch them play and fight for my affection.

I usually have Sadie on my left and Hazel on my right. They sit with me on the couch and in bed in the same positions.

They have a love hate relationship. Thats what makes them so funny. You never know what your going to get. Hazel my cat loves to get my attention by touching my back or behind as I walk by. Sadie love to just jump up and bite my tush. I walk- she jumps and bites.

I hope you enjoy my pets and my stories about them.

Living With Two Wonderful Companions

This is Sadie, when she was a puppy.  She was only about six weeks old when my friend George gave her to me.  She has tons of toys and is spoiled rotten by me.

Stock up on food, your greatest dependency and rest easy.
Every morning she wakes me up as soon as I take a deep breath or move and she knows, "Mama's awake!"  Then it's jump all over me and my face.  Trying to lick my face as I cover my face with my blanket or my arms.
Ultimately, I give in and get up......

This is Hazel, when she was a small kitten.  She was given to me by my sister Debra as a companion.  She saved my life.  She was there when I had no electricity and was a great comfort.

She used to wake up in the morning laying on my legs and I would pick my head up and look at her.  She would in turn look at me.  But upside down.   This made me laugh all time.  She was very affectionate and we watched the neighbors bar b q.  And were always on the lookout for her boyfriend the white fluffy cat that sat on the storage behind the house.

Now they are grown and have developed unique characteristics.   We have a little ritual.  Every morning they wake me up at about 6am or 7am.  I get up open the cans of food., give them clean water to drink and I go back bed.  Then they play for a while or wonder around the apartment.

After that Sadie is usually the first to come to my bedside and whimper whimper whimper till I wake up and place her next me on the left.  Then Hazel follows waiting for Sadie to settle down.  Afterward she gently crawls on top of my legs and curls up in a ball.  Then we take another nap...... LOL

This is Sadie now, or before I cut her hair.  Her face turned white and her paws are like the Budweiser horses.  Kind of fluffy.

In this picture she is begging for me to pick her up. Woofing and whimpering.  She loves to jump and jump like a gazelle.  She looks so beautiful and graceful.  And it seems as though she is always smiling. She woofs and I say quickly, "What." She woofs again.  I say "What."...... Then I pick her up.

This is Hazel now.  In this photo she was looking at a bumble bee flying around the patio.  I thought it was the perfect shot.  She is so beautiful in her own way.  She loves to give me kisses when I get home.  She meows and then I pucker and she nuzzles with her nose..  She is loving and  bi-polar all at the same time.  She only want to be touched when she feels like it.  She strolls around the house at night.  Meowing for about an hour.  And at times its seems like she is saying, "Helllllllooooo."  And I joke back and respond, "Helllllooooo."  Then I laugh because she comes running into my room or the area that I am in at the time.  One of these days I will record her and have a wave file for you to listen.

Currently the two play together and chase each other around.  But they both demand my attention. Saide loves to jump on my chest and just sit there like a parakeet. She nibbles here and there especially my hands and we play with her toys.  Her favorite is a teddy bear.  She also loves to lie down upside down or on her back.

She is one crazy dog!  But I wouldn't have her any other way.  That's what makes her interesting and fun.  She is my baby.  She follows me all over the house and is ever so faithful.

If I leave to check the mail.  She will bark and howl until I return.  Then she'll try to run out the door when I come in.  But when she realized how hot it is and that I am going in.  She turns around and runs back.

Here she is waging war on her teddy bear.  She growls at it.  And shakes it back and forth.  She tosses it all over the apartment; while she pounces on the defenseless teddy.  hahahah.

I love to watch her play with it.  She's so funny   And incredible.  She knows how to sit, stay and no bite, good wee wee, and bad wee wee.  We are still working on come.  Or Come here.  Or Sadie, come her now!  She usually turns a deaf ear.  And pretends not to hear me.  I feel like Me Jane.  You Tarzan...

This is Hazel and her favorite play time position.  She loves to look at her surrounding upside down. She jump from couch to couch when we play chase the mouse or feather.  She also leaps very gracefully.

I discovered that her favorite color is purple.  She is fascinated by it.  There is a soft rubber band that she plays with for hours.  She tosses here and there.  She loves to play with my yarn or when I crotchet.

She usually sits right next to me when I work on my hats or blankets. Like Saide; she is ever so faithful.

1-800-PetMedsCan you see Waldo!  Ha ha..... She is on my left.  Although now a days she is on my right and Sadie is on my left.  They get along as long as I show each one that I love them and give them equal attention.  Which is why I feel like I have children living with me.

As I said before.  They are a great comfort.  And ever so faithful and loving.  They never ask anything except to be loved.

The following is a quote from one of my journals in 2007.

February 27, 2007
" Finding true  love in it's purest form can be as enlightening as eating a box of chocolates or as warm as a close companion."
